ACD - Thu 01/01/1931 - PNM 1980 p46. No Sunday service, LTR - Sat 30/12/1930. Withdrawal of RTS Gilling - Malton and closure of intermediate stations.

This section of line, along with Sessay Wood Jct. - Gilling Jct. and Scarborough Rd. Jct. - Malton East Jct., was used by summer Saturday trains between Glasgow, Edinburgh & Newcastle and Scarborough avoiding York until LTR - Sat 08/09/1962 - BLN 426 p176/5. Interesting to note that these trains appeared in the timetable as "via Gilling", though neither the station nor the line appeared in any table or on the network map.

This section of line, along with Malton East Jct. - Scarborough Rd. Jct. and Gilling - Kirbymoorside, also used for excursions until LTR - Sun 03/05/1964 - DSWRPSGB.

*Estimated distance. The section of line from Gilling Jct. to the divergence point shared the same formation as the line from Gilling to Pickering for approximately 1m 50c.
