Further Notes

N.B. Please bear with me as I recast these sections of line. They are proving to be the most difficult and frustrating to sort out that I have come across due to the myriad opening and closing dates and often vague or incomplete information. I have decided the best way of trying to make sense of these is to combine them as one entry, despite the differing closure dates. I will try to make sense of them in the Notes section.

ACD - Mon 06/10/1969 - BLN 140. No Sunday service, so LTR - Sat 04/10/1969.

RO 04/05/1970 - BLN 144 which states "When closed 6.10.1969 was shown 'retained for Summer Only use'; will however have an 'all year' service from next May".

The following information has been gleaned from the various editions of RAoGB and PSUL:

CL sometime between 1984 and 1988.

RO - 08/07/1991 - "gained all-year weekday service" - PSUL 1991-2 p12.

Since then the line, along with Parkside No.1 Jct. - Golborne Jct. has continued to be used by RTS, SDS and diversions, making it difficult, if not impossible to identify accurately opening and closure dates. Indeed, it is debatable whether any periods of non-use constitute closure as such.
