RCR and other sources give 22/10/1973. According to BLN 235 p149 this was the date of complete closure to all traffic. In case there is any doubt, alterations from 01/10/1973 for BRPTT Scotland p8 shows 22E15 & 22B15 Glasgow (Central) - Kilmarnock (London (Euston)) ceasing to call at Paisley Gilmour St., suggesting service routed to Kilmarnock via Barrhead.
