The connecting ferry service to Belfast was withdrawn from 07/04/1975 - see BLN 272 p63 & 275 p94.
ACD - Mon 06/10/1975 - RoCR; DRS; RPSGB.
Apparently the "Heysham boat train" continued to run until 07/10/1975 incl. - BLN 294 p50. PNM 1980 p51 gives ACD 08/10/1975, presumably reflecting this, though the BLN article suggests these additional days of operation were "presumably because of some local requirement connected with stabling and cleaning of stock". Were they advertised and/or, indeed, actually used?
For good measure, "The 'Little' North Western Railway" M. Bairstow 2018 p112 gives ACD as 04/10/1975.
RO 11/05/1987 - BLN 555 p45/87-74. Mercifully, everyone seems to agree on this date.
